What the alerts do
We check Craigslist, StreetEasy and LeaseBreak against saved search criteria. Every match links to the original listing. An alert does not verify an advertiser, reserve an apartment, determine rent stabilization status or establish that an offer is safe. Source changes and delivery delays can affect coverage.

How we review our guides
The rental journal is published by AptAlert NYC. Guides distinguish practical search suggestions from rules that require official guidance. When we discuss broker fees, rent regulation or rental scams, we link to relevant city, state or federal sources. We do not publish invented market averages, vacancy figures, scam percentages or promises about how quickly you will rent.
